What locals say about GU22

“Very easy to get into London and Guildford via train or car. Also very close to M25 to go south to Sussex. Beautiful Surrey Hills all around, with unlimited options for walks in national parks or a bike ride. Excellent shops including Hobbycraft, Paperchase, Superdry, Debenhams, TK Maxx. Typical restaurants such as Cafe Rouge, with excellent gastro pubs all around the town and surrounding villages”

“Woking is a great place to live because it ticks all the boxes for a young, vibrant person. And the transport links are brilliant - we're talking 20 mins to London = 1 game of Sudoku (advanced setting). :D Jack”

“Because it's small good living area, with a lot of green areas, handy station, near Heathrow airport, local hospitals, big shopping centres”

“Fast trains to London, good bus services, two hospitals within 7.5 miles plus community hospitals, quiet area”

“I would like to know what it is like now. I lived with my family in Albert Drive when it just openend as a new estate. I went to school there as a 12 year old but we eventually moved to New Zealand. I have fond memories of it. I really was happy living there.”

“I lived in Sheerwater from 1959 to 1988. Since then I have lived in Norfolk, Essex, and Cornwall. I would give anything to be able to move back to Sheerwater as I have not found anywhere as good. ”

“I lived on Sheerwater Estate from 1952 until 1969 until I married a girl from Old Woking, my mother still lives there 60 years this years, it was a great place to live during those years.”
