A small and friendly wine shop. They even sell wine from a barrel if you bring your own bottle to fill up.

I always visit this independent beauty therapy salon before any special event or just for a bit of me time. They offer a range of different treatments and the staff are always really friendly.

Great for a family meal or a get together with friends. Traditional Indian curries and sides, all for a reasonable price.

The best sushi and burgers around and all under one roof - choose between Japanese and Italian cuisine, or why not have both!

Great Middle Eastern-style food, stunning venue and a fantastic atmosphere. Will certainly be going back! You can spend your whole evening here, as there's a cocktail bar with live music for pre or post-dinner drinks.

This luxurious late night bar is Loughton's answer to the West End. Dress to impress, book a table and have fun with your friends.

Not somewhere accessible to every local, but worth a mention all the same. The pool here is set within a converted church and is one of the most relaxing places to come and reflect upon your day...or just reflect on life.

This has to be the prettiest pub in Essex! It's in a lovely quiet spot near Epping Forest and the large garden is fantastic in the summer.

Loughton's go-to store for all things healthy. As well as selling organic products and supplements, there is a cafe serving delicious vegan and gluten-free treats.

It may be part of a chain of restaurants, but they definitely don't compromise on quality. The pizzas are really tasty and even the salads are too!
