“Hidden gem. Essentially you are living in Virginia Water - but at half the price - because it’s the only way to describe the location to someone not familiar with the area. Your local shops and restaurants (which are very good) and the station are in Virginia Water so its essentially a quiet offshoot of that place but with property values well below Virginia Water prices. Lots of hidden Manor Houses (sometimes divided into apartments) and typically Surrey private roads. Ideal for building "manor" style houses as the land is cheap compared to VW. Horses, serious Tour De France cyclists, classic cars and gravel drives - very nice place to live.”

New Egham Singers Summer "Picnic & Prom" Concert
Local community choir, New Egham Singers, will perform their popular Summer Picnic and Prom concert on Saturday 5th July 2025 at St Johns Church in Egham. The concert will feature well-known songs from leading classical and popular artists. Founded in 2009, New Egham Singers (NES), which incorporates Progeny Chamber Choir, has become a familiar part of the life of the area. NES, led by Musical Director (MD) Dr Guy Bunce, welcomes singers of different backgrounds, ages and musical abilities who get together at fun weekly rehearsals to sing a wide variety of songs. Whilst Progeny, overseen by MD Patrick Martin, tackles slightly more challenging music. Through its many performances, the choir has raised thousands of pounds for a variety of local charities. New Egham Singers are continuing to partner with their chosen charity for 2025: Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey. The charity provides expert support, services and advice to empower people who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted and deafblind and supports over 8,000 people in Surrey. Doors open at 5:30pm to set up picnics and the event will start at 6.00pm, showcasing a variety of music including Moon River, Im Still Standing and many other popular songs. The Summer Concert is accompanied by a picnic which singers and concert goers bring to enjoy during the interval. Then the second half of the concert will conclude with a Last Night of the Proms section complete with waving flags. All profits from the concert will go to Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey.Read more
Summer Notes Charity Concert
A concert for summer with a performance of feel-good songs from folk to jazz to soul and so much more from Cobham Ladies Choir (CLC), Summer Notes 7.30pm Saturday 14 June 2025, St Pauls Church, Addlestone, KT15 1SJ. Joined by guest performers Surrey Rainbow Choir to support the LGBTQ community and to raise funds for Harrisons Fund, supporting families of children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
