The Merry Wives is a great romp with an array of colourful characters, including the cash-strapped Sir John Falstaff who plots to seduce the two respectable merry wives. When they discover his trick, they unleash hilarious forms of revenge! Other eccentric characters include the gossiping Mistress Quickly, the jealous husband (who takes on an unusual disguise), a pompous Welsh vicar and a manic French doctor (who come to blows). Set in the 1980s, think big hair, wheelie bins and James Bond. Award-winning Pranksters return to the beautiful setting of Guildford Castle Grounds with another fun-filled, summery show!

Brace yourself for an electrifying experience featuring dynamic performances, thrilling guitar riffs, and the infectious energy of rock music. It's a complete departure from the classical realm, showcasing the talents of our up-and-coming Charterhouse bands playing music from Black Sabbath to The Police and everything in-between.
