Run by the National Trust, it's a fab place to spend a sunny Sunday afternoon - walks by the lake, space for frizbie, or a cream tea at the café.

Osterley Wyevale Garden Centre

A huge range of pretty flowers, homeware and a fish store with some incredible breeds of fish. If you're tired of looking at all of that, you can stop and have a scone and a cup of tea - beautiful!

"The name Osterley is derived from "woodland clearing with a sheepfold" and is dominated by the National Trust estate of Osterley Park."

The great thing about Osterley is its transport links, with frequent Piccadilly line services to Heathrow and central London and the A4 nearby too.

Christopher Howard

I love the twisty river walk through Old Isleworth past the old boat building cranes and beautiful old houses.

Ivanka Modesteva-Gyurova

The moment you enter through the gates of Syon House and drive up through the meadow, the surrounding hustle and bustle just seems to melt away...

What locals say about TW7

  1. Isleworth is a helpful yet fun community to be a part of. It has easy access to all of London, with Syon Lane train station, Isleworth train station, Osterley tube station and Hounslow East tube station. A walk away is Osterley, lovely area with superb cafes, big homes and the wonderful, Osterley Park. Fields of lush green, carpeting the grounds, with Osterley House, this beautiful Georgian country estate is the place to be. So many TV programmes have been filmed here such as numerous episodes of 'Horrible Histories', scenes for 'Doctor Who', 'Chuckle Vision', 'The Young Victoria', 'Top Secret!' and 'The Dark Knight Rises'. However if you like a little bit of retail therapy, you can take a trip to Hounslow high street, where many shops and restaurants are based. Even a mall 'The Treaty Centre', has some great shops inside, which is also located on the high street. The local's top favourite shops and restaurants here are, Topshop, New Look, Dunkin' Donuts, Nandos and newly opened Creams, H&M and Next with a Patisserie Valerie inside. With also near by schools, specialist schools and independent schools (secondary/primary), many with Ofsted rating outstanding. On the other hand, a few celebrities also come round here to shop and eat, due to the privacy. Isleworth is really a diamond in the rough.
