Ripple - ArtCan X BobCat Gallery
International non-profit arts organisation ArtCan will be popping up at Putney Exchange Shopping Centre this summer, taking over BobCat Gallery during the Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival between 3rd - 21st June.
New group exhibition ‘Ripple’ will include ArtCan artist members whose work shows the ripple effect of kindness, positivity and tolerance; of the power of small collaborations to make big differences to the world around us, and how paying it forward can create the best kind of waves.
Co-curated by Kate Enters, Founder of ArtCan, and Catherine Sweet, Founder of BobCat Gallery, the exhibition will include a range of international artists working across a huge variety of media - from painting to sculpture, textiles and cyanotype. Artists are invited to demonstrate their work during the exhibition.
Catherine says: “I firmly believe that art should be accessible to all, and I am proud to collaborate with ArtCan on such a special exhibition to showcase the power of art and artists to make positive change in the world. If we can all make a small ripple of good in the world, that can be amplified by the people we influence for the better. We hope this exhibition can create positive conversations and act as a tonic to balance out some of the difficult situations we find ourselves in at the moment.”
Wandsworth Arts Fringe is an annual extravaganza of arts and culture, popping up in surprising spaces all over the borough. This year will be the most ambitious festival to date as Wandsworth is London Borough of Culture 2025.
