Highbury Arts Club
Amazing place, so small that you may miss it if it isn't recommended! A family run business close to Highbury Barn, perfect for breakfast, brunch or dinner. They have now started doing jazz nights on a Thursday too.

The Canonbury Tavern
A public house since the early 1700's, The Canonbury Tavern was refurbished in 2009 giving the residents of Islington one of the best pub gardens in the city and a superb roast lunch on a Sunday. Moreover, the beautiful garden offers an escape from chaotic city life.

Out of the Attic
A fab place for vintage finds and antiques, the stock is often spilling out onto the pavements.
"The original main route through Holloway was for driving cattle to the meat market at Smithfield. The route was in such disrepair by the late 1200s, that the Bishop of London built a new toll road that is now the route of the A1."
North London remains for me the essence of London living...urban and innovative against a backdrop of centuries of history...
