Join a VE Day tour of the old RAF Croydon / Croydon Airport to celebrate VE Day 80. RAF Croydon was a key member of 11 Group during the Battle of Britain before becoming a key transport hub for the latter part of WW2. Be welcomed to the building by a wartime RAF Officer and take one of two different tours sponsored by Croydon Council. Guided tours take about 45 minutes plus additional time to explore the Control Tower/Museum. Interactive displays, a merchandise stall, and a cafe is normally open. Donations welcome. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 19 years experience giving members of the public who are new to community choirs the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music. Join us for a night like no other - THE ATG QUIZ NIGHT! All profits raised from the evening will go towards the "Save Our Hut" campaign! So far we have raised enough funds to repair half of the roof of our rehearsal space, it's time to repair the other half! There will be four classes performing at this event: Croydon Lower Primary Croydon Upper Primary Croydon Youth Theatre Pickhurst Infants Academy We anticipate that the whole showcase will last approximately 1 hour 10 mins, ending at around 8:25pm. We are offering a number of opportunities to visit Wilson's School across four dates in June 2025. The visits are for prospective pupils currently in Year 5 who are due to transfer to secondary school in September 2026. To book a visit please choose your preferred date and time slot and book your tickets. Prospective pupils can be accompanied by up to two parents/carers. Each time slot includes a tour of the school and its facilities accompanied by a member of staff or one of our Sixth Form students who will be happy to talk to you about the school and answer any questions that you may have. These visits will take place at the end of a normal school day and you will therefore be able to see first-hand the opportunities for pupils beyond the classroom. At the end of your guided tour you will be escorted to the John Jenkins Hall for a talk from the Head. On each of the four available dates we offer three sessions. The table below shows the timings for each visit session. Please note that it is important for you to arrive on time for your slot (we suggest you aim to arrive 5 minutes early). Please note: Each prospective pupil must be in Year 5 (starting secondary school in September 2026). In order to ensure as many people as possible are able to visit the school we ask that a maximum of three tickets per group is reserved (including child). Only one visit is allowed per child. Tickets are FREE - no payment details will be required.
