Public transportation options, such as nearby train and coach services, are readily available. For a smoother journey, we recommend using train services, which are faster and more reliable than driving. Please aim to arrive about an hour before your tour starts due to possible delays. For those considering driving, please allow an extra 30-60 minutes on top of your estimated arrival time. Oxford's roads can be congested, and parking is challenging. Utilizing the 'park and ride' services on the outskirts of the city is advised for a more convenient approach to reaching the city centre. Please arrive 5 minutes early at our meeting point. Late arrivals of more than 5 minutes may forfeit their booking, as it disrupts the guide and other guests. Our tours pride themselves on smaller group sizes for a more personal experience, typically ranging from 2-4 persons, with a maximum of 15. This ensures a quality experience, reflected in our marginally higher ticket price compared to competitors. The tour is suitable for all physical fitness levels, making it a great option for everyone to enjoy. Please be aware that access to university colleges cannot be guaranteed, especially during graduation dates, the Christmas holiday period, and university open days. We strive to secure entry into at least one or two colleges and will advise of any adjustments to the tour start time to accommodate restricted opening times during these periods. The King’s Voice – Gordon Hendricks as Elvis In Stoke on Trent in the early seventies, a young Gordon Hendricks played to an imaginary crowd. Harmonizing his voice to a constant soundtrack, played on repeat by his sisters. The music was Rock n Roll. The Artist was Elvis. Little did he know then that his performance in his potteries home would lead to a phenomenal career impersonating The King, working with his legendary musicians in years to come. Karaoke led to ITV’s ‘Stars in their Eyes’ where he rose from runner-up to series champion winning by a record number of votes. Watched by 12 million viewers astounded by their ears and eyes. And it wasn’t just the public. Elvis’ own songwriter Geoff Morrow was watching. Touched by Gordon’s voice that “recaptured the spirit of the song”, Geoff signed Gordon to his label and the two recorded and released “Where Will I Be”, a song originally written for Elvis. Gordon’s received many accolades. The greatest being crowned ‘Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artiste Champion 2017’ on stage at Graceland for the second time, competing against global artists. He’s toured the world and now he’s coming home. ‘The King’s Voice” tour transports you through time from the ‘68 special through to the Vegas era, breathing soul into ballads and those iconic jumpsuit numbers that set the stage on fire.
