What locals say about Walthamstow Village

“Walthamstow Village is definitely one of the best urban villages in London. Here, you can find fantastic schools, pubs and restaurants, an abundance of groups for babies and children and a real sense of community. Just outside the village, we now have The Scene development which has brought a cinema back to the area along with a number of great chain restaurants.”

“I moved to Walthamstow Village from Islington over 15 years ago and have never looked back. It's hidden away from the hustle and bustle of the main town centre - you wouldn't even know it was there. I can honestly say it has everything, a great community spirit, wonderful bars, restaurants and pubs, plus some lovely period properties - including quaint cottages. It's a unique place to live because you are only a stones throw away from Epping Forest where you can experience rural life - yet you are no more than 20 minutes away from the West End, Liverpool St or Westfield shopping centre if you want a night out. Where else in London can you get that mix? The Village is truly one of London's best kept secrets - I love it here! :)”

It is only in recent years they have been singing them out, but they have quickly become firm favourites across London folk clubs and beyond. They now have recorded an album available from Bandcamp.
