What locals say about East Finchley

“East Finchley is one of the few remaining areas of North London that retains a certain character and charm of its own. Its high street is populated by a high proportion of independents, including chic restaurants and bistros as well as London's oldest independent cinema, The Phoenix, which opened its doors back in 1911. East Finchley's properties were largely built during the Victorian and Edwardian eras, though the area also takes in the Northern extension of Hampstead Garden Suburb, much of which was developed in the 30s. Green spaces abound with Cherry Tree Woods, Big Wood, Highgate Woods, Hampstead Heath and Golders Hill Park, all within a stone's throw. And there's a good selection of independent and state schools at both primary and secondary level.”

“I love that it has all the main things i need only a few minutes walking distance from my flat. Parks, nursery, bus stops, underground and doctors surgery.”
