“The best part of living in Muswell Hill is the cafe and bar scene, which is surrounded by buildings and parkland from various architectural eras. Also for parents, schools of both the private and state sector are of high academic standards and are in close proximity to Wanstead.”

“The air is good, the views are great. It's green round here, We've got Ally Pally and Highgate and Queens Woods. A lovely, villagey feel. Its communications to the City are excellent. I wouldn't live anywhere else!”
Thelma
“I love the greenness and the properties are beautiful.”

“Muswell Hill has a very friendly and long established community, as people who move here tend to stay. The quality of housing is excellent with wide leafy streets and many Victorian and Edwardian properties. The main attraction however is the quality of the state schools with Muswell Hill Primary, Tetherdown and Rhodes Avenue all getting top ratings and secondary schools, Fortismere and Alexandra Park School getting "Outstanding" ratings from Ofsted. All this with Central London on your doorstep!”

“It is leafy, clean, safe and has lovely Edwardian houses. Parts of it are walkable to Highgate tube, lovely roads such as Cranley Gardens, Etheldene Ave etc are about a 12 min walk to Highgate tube. Feels like a village with friendly local people and has good shops and independent restaurants. Only 5 miles from central London and bordering Crouch End on one side and Highgate on the other. Perfect, and it also has some great state schools. Not cheap but slightly less expensive than Highgate.”

Muswell Hill has the look and feel of a genteel urban village, making for a stark contrast with Central London. This suburban district of North London is located 5.5 miles (8.9 km) north of Charing Cross. Muswell Hill is not served directly by Overground or Underground trains, so commuters largely depend on buses to nearby areas such as Finsbury Park. Muswell Hill has a fine selection of shops and restaurants, a cinema, concert and exhibition venues, sport and recreation facilities, parks, and numerous outstanding schools. The strong community spirit makes the area popular with families and professionals.
