About Ilford

Ilford is a large East London town that’s one of the city’s most affordable areas. Rich in history, art, and culture, the town offers a great quality of life in a welcoming, diverse community. Ilford is located 9.1 miles (14.6 km) east of Charing Cross and has good transport links. There’s a fine variety of high street shops, independent shops, and local markets as well as shopping centres, restaurants, and pubs. One of Europe’s largest malls, Westfield Stratford, is 12 minutes away via TFL Rail. You’ll also find an excellent library and museum, the Kenneth More Theatre, and a variety of sports clubs and other facilities.
