I book for anniversaries, birthdays, visits from friends - any excuse to attend the best restaurant I know of. New Lands #21: Your French Girlfriend + Lex Vervain
New Lands is BACK and better than ever, presenting a tag team bill of the best new live music every other Tuesday, all for a fiver. Our second offering for May features rising indie-pop act Your French Girlfriend and Lex Vervain. Our live acts will be followed by the resident New Lands DJs, who'll be spinning tunes to fit the bill on each edition. Expect deep cuts, anthems and more to soundtrack a perfect Tuesday tipple. ACCESSIBILITY Venue - There is one step up to access the pub, however, there is a ramp available which staff can assist in putting in place when required. Toilet - Due to the listed nature of the building, we do not currently have a wheelchair accessible toilet in our venue. However, we do have a single cubicle fitted with a rail in the ballroom. Parking - There is free on-street parking available throughout Stuart Road. Seating - If you require a seat for one of our gigs please get in touch. At a HulaFit class you will be using weighted hoops which make it easier to keep the hoop spinning around your waist, as we help you concentrate on exercises to improve your strength, coordination, balance and cardio fitness. You'll be spinning, jumping, and squatting like a pro in no time! Hula hooping is a great low-impact exercise so it can be good for those who can't do regular exercises like running, but don't be fooled.. we aim to hoop you hard, so spin steady, spin fast and you will get a mega calorie blast! CLOTHING: wear trainers and fitness-friendly attire! Hoops are provided. All abilities welcome. About Nunhead
Nunhead is an area in the London Borough of Southwark. It is an inner-city suburb located 4 miles (6.4 km) southeast of Charing Cross. It is the location of the 52 acres (0.21 km2) Nunhead Cemetery. Gibbon Road is the location of Nunhead Station. The station is located on the line from Blackfriars to Sevenoaks and Victoria to Dartford. Nunhead has some fine examples of late Victorian/early Edwardian properties that can be seen on both Carden Road and Tresco Road.
