His study focuses on Afro-Brazilian music, Samba, Jazz and Bossa Nova.Over the past few years, Mario Bakuna has emerged as a leading figure and a reference in the Brazilian Jazz Music scene in the UK.Bakuna has extensively performed in Europe and beyond at distinguished venues and festivals alongside artists such as Jean Toussaint, Liam Noble, Ricardo dos Santos, Edmundo Carneiro, Cacau Queiroz, Alain Jean Marie, Dudu Penz, and Filó Machado. The concerts of his two albums 'Where Rio de Janeiro Meets Bahia' and 'Brazilian Landscapes' toured 18 European countries, Canada, Brazil, Madagascar, Egypt, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, with great acclaim. Mario Bakuna, a sparkling guitarist, plays with palpable feeling his virtuosic fluency on the fretboard is controlled and flourishes are perfectly placed. Duncan is also known for his work with critically acclaimed band, Partikel, which was nominated for Best Jazz Ensemble at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Describing his approach as cinematic and expressive, Duncan cites influences from funk and blues to avant garde on his brand of jazz. Producer and Instrumentalist Noah Mahler celebrates the release of his debut EP Observations at MAP Studio Cafe. Combining Soulful sounds with influences from Electronic and Brazilian music, it includes everything from relaxed ambient sounds to frantic odd-time grooves. Donnelly’s other plays include The Knowledge (Bush) and The Pass (Royal Court). Director Blanche McIntyre returns to Hampstead following her record-breaking production of The Invention of Love. Join Mick Wall & Jon Hotten in conversation with the legendary Don Airey Plus: JOEL McIVER (Metal Guru Biographer of LEMMY, CLIFF, RANDY and GLENN HUGHES) Don has been a player on the rock scene for over 25 years, notching up almost 200 album credits and associations with 20 or more major bands including Cozy Powell's Hammer, Colosseum II, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne, Whitesnake, Jethro Tull and ELO. Don has been continually occupied recording, producing or touring with a multitude of artists including Tony Iommi, Glenn Hughes, Ten, Uli Jon Roth, Judas Priest, Silver, opera singer Mark Rattray, Gary Barden, Michael Schenker, UFO, Graham Bonnet and, last but not least, Deep Purple. Don came to Purple's rescue mid 2001 to help out for an injured Jon Lord, who has since retired, with Don recording the new album with Deep Purple as the band's permanent keyboard player.
