“Telegraph Hill has the combination of stunning views, spacious and architecturally interesting homes which are beautifully laid out, wide spacious streets, and a neighbourhood with a sense of community. The trees in spring, summer and autumn give life to the roads and are also beautiful. It's like being in a totally different world, yet the proximity to London City and the transport links give an accessibility which is hard to beat. What continues to amaze me is why it's not well known!”

Charged GBH embarked on several English and mainland US tours during the early 1980s, including several gigs at the 100 Club. 1982 saw GBH´s first LP, City Baby Attacked By Rats. Lyrically, the album dealt with criticism of British and European culture, violence, morbidity (especially in reference to the song ´´Passenger On The Menu´´, which describes in graphic detail the experiences of the passengers on the Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571), atheism, nihilism and humour. Musically, the album was loud and fast, with few songs exceeding three minutes. In 1984 the band changed their name to GBH (grievous bodily harm).Read more

Freshwater Food Web Workshop
Join our friends at Froglife to get out in nature and meet some of the wildlife in our garden. Ellie Pritchard is the founder of Arbor Projects and a creative freelancer for Froglife’s London Blue Chain project. Ellie will be delivering an interactive Freshwater Food Web Workshop that focuses on the importance of biodiversity. The session will be a playful way to learn about amphibians, reptiles, and invertebrates, where participants can transform a space into a freshwater habitat through craft activities and explore the complex feeding relationships within the ecosystem. Froglife is a national wildlife charity committed to the conservation of amphibians and reptiles – frogs, toads, newts, snakes and lizards – and saving the habitats they depend on.
