His versatile repertoire spans romantic Bollywood melodies, English classics, Qawwali, Ghazals, and Islamic Nasheeds and Naats. Priti Kaur A versatile Indian vocalist based in the UK, celebrated for her dynamic performances across genres such as Bollywood, Ghazals, Sufi, Bhajans, and Gurbani Sangeet. I am a big fan of the Lunatraktors. They offer an experience which I am sure will linger on long after the evening as ended. They are a collaboration between choreographer and percussionist Carli Jefferson and vocalist and researcher Clair Le Couteur. Starting in 2017 with an apocalyptic question What's left when we've lost everything the project strips down folk to the basics of rhythm and voice. Jefferson's hybrid of tap dance, flamenco and body percussion, developed after touring with STOMP (2001-2004), meets Le Couteur's self-taught overtone singing and 3+ octave range. This is the foundation of what they call their style of 'broken folk'. The hard-hitting social commentary is enhanced through the use of harmonic singing, dance, accordion, and whistles. Last Birds is the offspring of Canadian Folk Music Award nominated artists, Lindsay Arnold and Mike Davis. Using their small prairie hometown in Saskatchewan as a backdrop, Last Birds weave together rural legends and current day experiences to form a modern prairie gothic. Their two voices, two guitars approach to live performance is steeped in early country folk influence and provides an intimate storytelling experience audiences have repeatedly described as mesmerizing. Eric Sedge is a distinctive voice in the world of Folk and Roots music. With stories and songs from his native East Anglia and the Yorkshire Dales where he's made his home, he embraces both traditional and contemporary styles playing Festivals and Concert Halls thoughout the country, along with appearances on Radio and TV. Ickenham Festival Summer Concert 2025 To pass the year before Ickenham Festival Week 2026 we are hosting our annual Summer Concert! Saturday 14th June 2025 at Glebe School (Sussex Road, Ickenham). Entry from 7:15pm for a 7:45pm start. The fantastic, 'Buzz Lightweights' are back! They performed for us before at numerous Summer Concerts and were much loved by you all (and us!) Tickets will NOT be available on the door. So please purchase prior to attending. You can buy them online up to 1 minute before the concert starts!!

If you have always wanted to join a choir locally, you can! The Pinner Rock Choir is led by singing teacher Simon Reynolds. The choir will be performing locally again soon so it's a chance for you to join in, sing and perform without pressure and under the supportive guidance of Simon. Rock Choir members have performed at Wembley Stadium for the record breaking Saracens versus Harlequins rugby league game in 2012, Guilfest and many more iconic venues across the country. Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Simon tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with him about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 20 years experience giving members of the public who are new to group singing the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music. Join the H arrow Concert Band and our very special guests for our first concert of 2025. Celebrating a new musical season and (a little ahead of time) the 80th anniversary of VE Day. We'll be performing a wide variety of music to enlighten and uplift before taking you on a special second world war journey, to include a sing-a-long and a traditional military sunset finale. Please note there will be a retiring collection at the end of the performance.
