What locals say about SW4

  1. Clapham Common has something for everyone - great places to eat and drink, lots of outdoor space for kids and dogs, lively bars on Clapham High Road in the evenings, a tube station (northern line Clapham Common), or Overground (Wandsworth Road is about 10 mins walk away), great schools for kids (Clapham Manor) and colleges for the older one’s (Lambeth College).

  2. Clapham is filled with nice luscious parks for walks with the kids, a vast green common for the weekend workouts and the cool eateries for a Saturday night out. Why travel any further when there's something for everyone here!

  3. Clapham is a great area that offers a wide variety of amenities with a fantastic community spirit. This neighbourhood has a vibrant feel as well as friendly people. Easy access to transport and a lovely common are true gems anyone can appreciate.

  4. Clapham North has had a lot of investment over the last 10 years, the high street has everything you need, from array of cosmopolitan restaurants, bars and the necessities of all the supermarkets for convenience. Ideally situated for a short commute into Central London, with the Northern and Victoria Lines and now the Overground loop train. During the warmer months the additional attraction of Clapham Common, to exercise or chill out.

  5. Beautiful Clapham Common park, many nice restaurants/bars in the area and great connection (Northern Line), bus 137 straight to Oxford Circus, 345 to South Ken! If you are in the area definitely visit Clapham Old Town or Northcote road.

  6. With the warm heart of Clapham common to the south, with its massive green space and a spread of bars cafes, eateries and a Picturehouse, and Stockwell to the north for a quick commute into central London, this is the ideal place to be based.

  7. Clapham Common in general is an amazing place. You have the business of London with great bars and restaurants and then right next to it is the open mesmerising space of the common itself. Filled with different activities, different people and caters for everyone's needs.

  8. Great pubs, cafes, brunch on Sundays is the best, one of my favourite cafes is Fantasia, a small cafe in the middle of the Old Town, with really good prices, simple and nice food. There are a couple of designer furniture stores next door that make the whole experience really nice. Pubs wise, the list is endless. The Sun in the summer of course, No. 32 for a nice cocktail, the Bobbin for an award winning Sunday road - literally mentioned in TimeOut as the best in SW, etc. etc. Simply an amazing area. Come live here.

  9. the access to local bars, deli's, restaurants, tube and the common all in one, favourite pub is The Frog for food, drink and atmosphere, the best pub for overall atmosphere is Prince of Wales or POW POW POW to the locals (take a look at the cieling, it's magic).
