The finest Italian restaurant I have ever been to, with a varied and fresh menu that caters for everyone from meat eaters to vegans and all in between without seeming to try! I book for anniversaries, birthdays, visits from friends - any excuse to attend the best restaurant I know of. It may not look particularly salubrious, but it is child-friendly by day and romantically candle-lit by night. I cannot recommend it highly enough!Read more

Join us for an evening of poetry as we celebrate the launch of Sweet Bone Girl, an extraordinary debut collection by Esme Allman, examining and exploring the intricate dynamics of desire as it intertwines with Black womanhood; negotiating the boundaries of history, culture, and identity. The evening will include special guest poets giving readings, as well as a signing. Esme Allman's evocative poetry moves between the personal and the collective, interlacing the past with the present to investigate how desire is shaped and claimed. Sydenham has a bustling town centre with an active and engaged community, excellent public transport, schools, parks, shops and restaurants. The town centre is home to 185 small and medium-sized businesses, many independently owned and offering a wide range of goods. The town centre has a very community and villagey feel making Sydenham a well connected location where there are many independent run businesses as opposed to a more vast and informal environment with branded chain stores that neighbouring Croydon, Bromley and Lewisham have.
