Test 1-2 is Harun Tekin’s first solo live project. Known as the frontman of mor ve ötesi, he takes the stage alone this time, offering an intimate and stripped-down musical experience. who is harun tekin? Harun Tekin was born in 1977. He studied philosophy and psychology at Boğaziçi University. Since 1995, he has recorded eight studio albums and performed at hundreds of gigs with his band, Mor ve Ötesi. The band represented Turkey at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2008, and their concert at İnönü Stadium on May 28, 2022, was recorded as the first solo stadium performance by a Turkish rock band. From 2011 to 2013, he taught “Songwriting” at Bilgi University. Between March 2018 and March 2022, he served as vice president of the Turkish music association MSG, where he also oversaw the translation of key musical publications. Tekin divides his time between Istanbul and London. Test 1-2 is his first live solo project. Presented by Gigue Production. Unreserved Seating. Today, you have an artist touring the world, shining bright like a diamond (the Samoan translation of her name) renowned for taking the ukulele to new heights while blazing her own trail in the process. She won the “Favorite Entertainer of the Year” at the prestigious Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards in 2019 and 2023. Add it all up, and it’s easy to see how this hapa Samoan (part caucasian and part indigenous Samoan) artist has carved out a unique niche in music and garnered over 50 million video views and 500,000 social media followers to date. Taimane’s musicality and approach to the stage further add to her draw. She merges a wide-array of genres, from Bach to rock, flamenco infernos to tribal hymns, summoning a seemingly limitless palette of emotions via an instrument previously viewed as restricted. Seeing her perform live exponentially amplifies these feelings and makes clear that Taimane is an entertainer first and foremost. Authentic Hungarian Folk Culture - Dance Hall - Live folk music - Socialising. Emphasizing authentic music and dance from various regions of historical Hungary. Live folk music is a crucial element, with bands playing traditional instruments and melodies. 'Tnchz' events serve as a social hub for the Hungarian dance lover community in London and anyone interested in folk culture. It's a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for people to connect, dance, and enjoy the music together. Dance workshops led by experienced instructors, where participants can learn traditional Hungarian folk dances. Following the workshops, there's ample time for social dancing, allowing everyone to practice and enjoy the dances. Hunique Dance Ensemble is a key organizer of tnchz events in London, dedicated to promoting and preserving Hungarian folk traditions. They host regular events at the Catholic Centre in Chiswick, London. The event will feature a live music by: dm Rmer: Violin Andrs Lovszi: Viola Jnos Kllai: Cimbalom (Hungarian hammered dulcimer) Gojko Alilovic: Double Bass This ensemble will provide authentic folk music, creating an immersive atmosphere for dancers and attendees. Dance Instruction and Participation: Dvid Gresa , an experienced dance instructor from Hunique Dance, will lead a workshop focusing on the distinctive dances of the Bodrogkz region. Following the workshop, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in social dancing, fostering a sense of community and cultural exchange.
