One of the biggest developmental transformations in Greater North London at the moment is that of Finsbury Park, which, although well serviced by underground and National Rail links, has been overlooked by developers prior to this. Plans have been made over the past few years to improve Finsbury Park, and with schemes like City North providing contemporary housing, a cinema, restaurants and cafes, we will hopefully see the area rise in popularity - not only with investors, but with renters too. Many of London's suburbs like Crouch End and Muswell Hill already benefit from independent amenities, outstanding schools and local events that help raise the family-friendly profile of North London. But as properties in these well established, village-like locales rise in price, we are seeing a positive trend in the number of renters searching in more affordable areas like Holloway, Arsenal and Tufnell Park.
North London's suburbs offer a decidedly village-like atmosphere, which makes areas like Crouch End, Hampstead and Temple Fortune a home from home for anyone who is not from London. With frequent trains to Moorgate and prices shooting up in more central areas like Camden and Islington, these suburban locales represent good value for money for our varied buyers, from first-time, to families, to retirees. The charming period properties in the "Haringey Ladder" are one to watch, as the surrounding area is constantly changing. There's always a new coffee shop, restaurant or bar popping up on Green Lanes and the transport links are fantastic too - as well as National Rail, Underground and Overground links, there's the prospect of Crossrail 2, which would boost the local economy immensely.

My experience with Foxtons was absolutely faultless. I went to Marina 2 days ago and told her I needed a property to move into by the end of the week after a previous property I was going to move into fell through at the last minute. Marina dedicated hours of her time to take me to see several properties until I found one I was happy with and within 2 hours of seeing the property, I secured it and my offer was accepted. Marina also stayed after she finished work to ensure we got all the paperwork done that evening. Now, 48 hours later, I have moved into a property I absolutely adore. Marina made the whole process as stress-free as can be and I could not be happier with the service she provided me with. I recommend her to anybody - especially those who need to find somewhere quickly. I cannot thank her enough and I will definitely be returning to her in the future should I ever need to move again. I can't praise the service I have received highly enough. I like the fact that Foxtons is open and honest about what is going on, remembers details you have shared with them, and gives a really personal service. They are friendly, helpful and professional, and a particularly difficult sale of one property was made much better by the supportive attention I received. I know that estate agents are in it to carry out a business and make money, but nevertheless the people I have dealt with at Foxtons have made a great effort to establish a relationship, and I really did feel we were 'in it together'. My review is specifically about the St John's Wood branch, but I have had equally good treatment from the Marylebone branch. I am very unlikely to be selling property in either area again, but if I were I would without question return to Foxtons.

Aleks was extremely helpful and kind, and took us to properties late in the evening although we were late because our train was delayed. The areas he chose were ideal and the properties were really close to our proposed budget. Leon from Maida Vale also showed us some properties. He was really helpful as well, and he chose properties relevant to our requirements. Most importantly, his outgoing personality made the whole viewing process pleasant and interesting!
