Having risen in demand over the last few years, Walthamstow has become a place of change, with an increasing number of independent restaurants, bars and shops popping up in the area. The area also boasts Walthamstow Market – the longest outdoor street market in Europe, as well as fantastic transport links with access to both the Victoria Line and the London Overground. The abundance of green space and the high proportion of freehold and `Warner' homes also attracts families and professionals alike, who are drawn by the affordable yet future-proof homes in a commutable distance of central London with their own front doors and gardens.
As London's suburbs expand and buyers look further afield for the right property at the right price, areas in North East London like Stoke Newington and Walthamstow are benefiting greatly from increased interest and redevelopment. In Walthamstow, Waltham Forest Council is investing money to improve and change the face of the neighbourhood, encompassing regeneration of the Blackhorse Lane area to provide new homes and jobs over the next 10 years and the submission of planning applications to overhaul the Marlowe Road Estate, which will hopefully begin in January 2016. There's also the Mini Holland scheme funded by the Mayor of London, which is designed to cut down traffic and improve cycling routes in the neighbourhood to make the area safer for both adults and children. Plus there's the redevelopment of what will now be known as Waltham Forest Leisure Centre and a proposal to make Lloyd Park and the vicinity a conservation area, to be funded by the council too.

My partner and I have been looking to buy a home in Walthamstow. The current market in this area really favours the seller and not the buyer and the approach of most other estate agents in the area reflects this. They do not follow up after viewings or take time to find out what types of properties you are interested in but send through bulk e-mails directed to everyone on their mailing lists. However this was not the case with your employee in your Walthamstow office Safiya. Not only did she take the time to chat through what we wanted the properties she selected with us were spot on in price, location and condition. She personally took us round (not a generic open day), gave us prompt feedback when we made an offer and was very professional and also fun.
