With exceptional musicianship and boundless energy, Granny's Attic are a brilliant young trio performing traditional and original songs and tunes. Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne (melodeon, anglo concertina, vocals), George Sansome (guitar, vocals) and Lewis Wood (violin, vocals) have been touring the UK and Europe since 2009 and are now one of the most respected folk bands around. A must-see!

Oaken is a vocal quartet with roots in folk music, branching out into pop and original songs. Emily Barden, Anna Tabbush, Camilo Menjura and Dominic Stichbury are four choral directors and composers who came together in 2020 to deliver online singing workshops during the pandemic. Since then they have developed an exciting repertoire of contemporary and traditional songs plus some of their own compositions. Their innate musicality and friendship bring warmth and joy to their audiences. Oaken will be delivering an afternoon singing workshop which they will team teach, each member leading a part. Music will be taught by ear in luscious 4-part harmony. No previous musical or singing experience necessary. In the evening you can hear Oaken perform their unique repertoire and join them for refreshments in the interval, donations for which will go to City of Sanctuary: a charity that supports refugees in the UK Workshop 2 - 5pm Concert 7.30 - 9.30pm We are unable to accept ticket refunds within 2 months of the event (after 17th March). Building on our successful cornerHOUSE Write itthen write it better workshops in October 2021, weve formed a playwrights group to help each other improve our writing for the stage. Participants are invited to offer a draft scene/script/part script (5-15 pages) for table-reading and discussion. We meet every six weeks and will usually have time to work on 3-4 such pieces per session. If you dont have a draft ready to share, we need readers (you dont have to be an actor!) and listeners ready to discuss, suggest and provide constructive feedback. Attendance at every session isnt essential, but numbers are limited to 12, so sign up early to secure a place. Youll then be contacted with further details and in case you have any questions.
