The many celebrities and footballers living in Arkley, Hadley Wood and Totteridge make sure the area has plenty of places to enjoy the high life. The prestigious Hadley Wood Golf Club is an impressive place for a day out, where you can improve your handicap whilst surrounded by stunning parkland.

The Black Horse is great but we're spoilt for choice with lots of pubs and bars in the area. To name a few, The Reks bar, The Arkley Village Inn and Dining and the fully refurbished The Gate are all fantastic too.

The new Bar & Grill restaurant on Church Passage is exciting, and Bel Gelato, the delicious ice cream parlour in Spires shopping centre, opened just in time for the sunny weather.

One of the benefits of not being in central London is that we have some fantastic commons and parkland to explore; my two favourites are Hadley Green and Monken Hadley Common. Oakhill Park is also a great place to stretch your legs and even hosts a free festival in the summer.

Hadley Wood is a quiet green exclusive family based residential enclave with attractive large homes surrounded by parklands and green belt. Excellent transport links and schooling. Stong community spirit, friendly relaxed character and good local amenities. Train station provides direct access to Moorgate/Kings Cross in under 30 mins on regular reliable and comfortable services. 2 miles from High Barnet and Cockfosters for Underground alternatives both with car parking. Knightsbridge 40 minutes on Piccadilly line. Close to M25, A1(M), M1 and M11 with great access to airports and London. Variety of excellent schools both state and private for primary and secondary education, in fact some of the best in the country. Local primary is "Outstanding" and QE Boys in Barnet is arguably the best boys state secondary in the UK. Not to mention the wide variety excellent private schools who bus from the area. Local shopping includes Waitrose and M&S in Barnet and Cockfosters respectively. Nice quiet proper country pubs in 20 minutes drive and yet top London resturants at Kings Cross in 20 minutes on train. Fantastic value for money overall and a very good mix of characteristics which provide a very enjoyable family experience benefitting from both more rural aspects and close proximity to London
