The action of the play takes place over the course of a single night at the height of the Second World War. In a country house hotel, on the edge of an RAF Bomber Command airfield, three women wait anxiously for news of their husbands return from a dangerous bombing mission behind enemy lines. While the play focuses on the relationships between the three couples, at the centre of the drama is a love triangle between RAF bomber pilot Teddy, his actress wife Patricia and her ex-lover, Hollywood film star Peter Kyle. Torn between her feelings for the two very different men, Patricia finds herself at the centre of an emotional conflict as unpredictable as the war in the skies. Hadley Residents' Association is proud to present the Jazz On The Green 2025 open air concert with live music from various artists, still to be confirmed. Watch this space. The HRA are working closely with the Council and various specialists to prepare a Management Plan for the Green and especially all ponds to identify what flora and fauna and wildlife is present and what we can do to improve it in the long term.
