I am a big fan of the Lunatraktors. They offer an experience which I am sure will linger on long after the evening as ended. They are a collaboration between choreographer and percussionist Carli Jefferson and vocalist and researcher Clair Le Couteur. Starting in 2017 with an apocalyptic question What's left when we've lost everything the project strips down folk to the basics of rhythm and voice. Jefferson's hybrid of tap dance, flamenco and body percussion, developed after touring with STOMP (2001-2004), meets Le Couteur's self-taught overtone singing and 3+ octave range. This is the foundation of what they call their style of 'broken folk'. The hard-hitting social commentary is enhanced through the use of harmonic singing, dance, accordion, and whistles. If you have always wanted to join a choir locally, you can! The Pinner Rock Choir is led by singing teacher Simon Reynolds. The choir will be performing locally again soon so it's a chance for you to join in, sing and perform without pressure and under the supportive guidance of Simon. Rock Choir members have performed at Wembley Stadium for the record breaking Saracens versus Harlequins rugby league game in 2012, Guilfest and many more iconic venues across the country. Joining a choir can be a brave step to take for some and in light of this Simon tries to make it as easy as possible for you by giving the opportunity to have a FREE taster session and then to have a chat with him about singing. Rock Choir is the leading group in community singing. We launched our FREE choir taster sessions back in 2005 and have 20 years experience giving members of the public who are new to group singing the chance to try joining a choir without the need to audition or read music.
