Director of Music - Ashley Wass Conductor Otis Enokido-Lineham This orchestra of wonderful young string players has delighted us many times in previous Festivals and returns once again. Their programme will include a new exciting arrangement by their conductor of Beethovens Fifth Symphony and Dvoraks enduring and popular String Quartet American No. 12 in F major, Op. 96. Young Musicians Showcase
This concert gives solo recital performance opportunities to talented young musicians aged 8 to 18. The chosen performers deliver varied repertoire to a local supportive audience who have the privilege of hearing them. Several former artists have entered the music profession. Alison OGorman, the producer, is an experienced music teacher with over three decades of tuition and coaching, including to professional young music students. She has been producing the concert for several years and is delighted to present some of Surreys best young artists. Highly experienced and talented Siobhan OHiggins will accompany the performers. Big Band Night
Presented by Banstead Area u3a. You are invited to join the Milestone Big Band for an evening of music ranging from the Masters of Big Band to The Blues Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire, Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams and Michael Bubl. The 17-piece Band has played in many impressive venues including Londons Savoy Hotel and Guildford Jazz Festival. This will be an opportunity to dance the night away in the company of some fi ne local musicians and their special guest vocalist Georgie Fellows.
