Foxtons celebrates their new Mini design

By Foxtons

To mark the launch of the new Foxtons punk Mini, 24 of the striking vehicles will be parading down King's Road on Saturday morning before splitting up and spreading out to travel through the capital.

Twenty four of the new design Foxtons punk Minis will be travelling through London this Saturday, May 6th. The Minis will start from Sloane Square at 10am, parade down King's Road, and then split into smaller groups to trek through London visiting all of the areas covered by Foxtons 17 London offices. The convoy is taking place to celebrate the launch of the eye-catching new Mini design.

King's Road is the ideal place to start the parade. Malcolm McLaren, manager of The Sex Pistols, and Vivienne Westwood owned the boutique, SEX, at 430 King's Road. The store sold clothing designed by Westwood, which often featured tartan patterns - a motif used on the Foxtons Mini. When The Sex Pistols started wearing Westwood's clothes at their gigs, the popularity of punk fashion soared and competitor stores, such as Boy, Granny Takes a Trip and Beaufort Market, started to appear. SEX was also where The Sex Pistols auditioned John Lydon (a.k.a. Johnny Rotten).

To add an extra touch of fun and colour to the parade, the drivers of the punk Minis will be wearing red, Mohican-style punk wigs.

So, have you seen the punk Mini yet?
