1. Barking and Dagenham
AVERAGE RENTAL PRICE: £1,279 per month / £295 per week
The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham comes out as the cheapest borough again this year, with rents currently averaging £1,279 per month. Offering excellent value to both renters and buyers, fast links to central London by train or Overground make this an excellent area for commuters on a budget.

2. Croydon
AVERAGE RENTAL PRICE: £1,338 per month / £309 per week
This is the second cheapest option for London's renters. Average rent in Croydon currently stand at around £1,338 per month.
