We’re really proud to be starting a major new partnership that will help hundreds of young people in the Capital kick-start a rewarding future.
The partnership is with Career Ready, a charity and leading light in social mobility. They work with businesses to offer structured, high-impact career programmes to young people principally in the 16-18 age group from right across London.
The Foxtons partnership – Career Ready’s first in residential estate agency – will raise important funding for the charity but also give Foxtons’ 1,000-strong workforce the chance to get personally involved in the delivery of the programmes.
Our people will be able to get involved with internships, mentoring students from local schools, masterclasses on leadership and perseverance focused on the property sector, and also hosting experience days.
Foxtons Chief Executive Nic Budden said: “I’m very proud of the diversity in the Foxtons business, something that bucks the trend across the property sector and gives us a real advantage. Over our 40 years, we have consistently given jobs to candidates from a whole range of backgrounds and experience as we know the skills we look for aren’t always recognised by traditional qualifications.
“But there’s more we need to do, and I’m delighted Career Ready will be supporting us. They will help us harness the expertise and enthusiasm across our network to make a meaningful positive difference to social mobility in London.”
Career Ready’s CEO Tokunbo Ajasa-Oluwa said: “Our mission is to give every young person, regardless of background, the career support, experiences, and insights they need to kickstart their futures. We’re delighted to be partnering with Foxtons. This will provide an invaluable opportunity for Foxtons' employees to support our cause, share their experiences, and inspire young people about the exciting opportunities available in the property sector.”
For all of our 40 years - and we hit that big birthday this year - we’ve made sure to offer job opportunities to a deliberately broad cross section of recruits.
This approach to opportunity means our employees almost exactly mirror the diversity of London, the city we predominantly serve.
This new partnership with Career Ready means we can do even more in our communities to help young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, learn the skills that will give them the best chance to maximise their potential.
