A wild night of Latin American music like you’ve never experienced. Suave Y Salvaje is one of London’s first Latin-punk events-a dancefloor journey through tropical rhythms and punk spirit, from the Caribbean coasts of Colombia to the streets of London. Akolá Tambó bring the ancestral, drum-fuelled sounds of bullerengue-an Afro-Colombian tradition rooted in celebration and community. Their trance-like performances stir joy and connection, calling audiences to remember the drum and feel the power of rhythm. Chico Majara blend Latin heat with punk edge, landing with feline grace. Two percussionists drive irresistible grooves inspired by boogaloo and early salsa, while raw guitars and unpredictable stage energy bring swagger, elegance and danger. It’s a cathartic, sassy experience that sets the dance floor ablaze. For one special number, Akolá Tambó and Chico Majara unite-fusing tradition and punk in a once-in-a-lifetime live collaboration. DJ Paskal (Rough&Tough) brings an all-vinyl set shaped for the night, digging deep into gritty garage, salsa, boogaloo, cumbia and beyond. Join multi-award-winning storyteller, Anna Christina, for a fun interactive musical workshop of listening, learning, drawing, singing, and dancing at ExCel London on Saturday 24th May from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at The Treehouse at MCM Comic Con. Children at 'Storytime with Anna Christina' will hear three fantastic Music Audio Stories, including Superhero Bugs, specially written and composed for MCM Comic Con. They will enjoy a fun read-aloud, love singing and dancing along to the songs in the stories, learn about the circus, bugs, and books, and enjoy colouring in.
