Set just beside Burgess Park in Peckham, this stunning home is the creation of award-winning creative director, Steve, and fashion stylist, Lotta – and it shows. Eye-catching interiors are consistent throughout this house, but how did the owners get such a stylish result?
The creative director of the duo, Steve, transformed this property with a major reconfiguration throughout, while fashion stylist, Lotta, added personal touches to each room. As shown in the picture below, the basement became a new designer kitchen, with Neff appliances and a sleek kitchen island in a distinctive shade of pink.
The stunning reception/dining room underwent a change in colour scheme, as ornate cornicing and ceiling mouldings were installed to frame the central light fixture. These traditional features blend in with the period décor of the property, whilst presenting a modern twist with bold dark tones that contrast the white walls and the white painted floorboards. The fireplace here, as well as the others in the house, was also made usable again by thorough cleaning.
New floorboards were incorporated in this bedroom on the first floor, which is currently being used as an office/dressing room. Here, the old wallpaper was removed and the walls were repainted in Farrow and Ball and Little Greene paints. Neutral shades of grey enable pops of colour to stand out, providing an on-trend backdrop.
The bathroom has been completely transformed from its original state as a large cupboard/store room. Steve not only added plumbing, but sleek and stylish fittings with a bespoke finish throughout. A black tiled floor and walls afford a fashionable background, while much like in the rest of the property, well placed colourful details draw the eye. The shower room on this floor presents a more classic white finish, but with equally high-quality fixtures.
Even the large split-level garden has undergone a makeover, having been re-landscaped, re-planted and bordered by a new fence. Now it offers both a patio area perfect for dining out in the fresh spring air as well as a beautiful variety of mature plants and trees.
