Today in our Where London's celebrities live series, the spotlight is on the family-friendly north London area of Barnet. Let's take a look at which A-list celebs you might spot while you're out and about in Barnet.

Zayn Malik

Zayn Malik, popstar and one fifth of boyband One Direction, owns a house close to the centre of Barnet – although we’re unsure how much time he spends there, splitting himself between LA, New York and London.

Zayn and the rest of the 1D boys also lived in Princess Park Manor in Friern Barnet following their exit from The X Factor in 2010, where Louis and Harry shared an apartment that was previously rented by footballer Ashley Cole.

Harry Styles owns a house in Highgate, while Louis went on to buy a property just down the road from Zayn.

These properties in Barnet are close to Zayn's ultra-modern boys pad.

Arsene Wenger

Longstanding Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger lives in the exclusive village of Totteridge, which is a magnet for celebrities because of its quiet roads and impressive properties.

Arsene has lived in his Totteridge home for over 20 years, but it's reported that it’s not as luxurious as some of the footballers’ homes in the area, preferring something a bit more understated.

Discover the properties available to buy near Arsene's family home.

Emma Bunton

Once part of the world’s biggest girl band Spice Girls and current radio show host Emma Bunton, lives close to the exclusive Hadley area of Barnet.

Emma is a north London girl, born and raised in Finchley and has not moved too far from where she grew up. She lives in her family home with her long-term fiancé and children.

Princess Park Manor

This converted lunatic asylum is perhaps the biggest residential celebrity hotspot in north London, with a list of past celeb residents longer than the reservation list for The Ivy.

It was once home to all of One Direction, The Saturdays and Girls Aloud – it was outside in the gardens of the development that Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole first met and where they shared their first home together.

And interestingly, it was also home to her current beau Liam Payne, of One Direction fame.
