When canvassing to bring new homes to our house hunters, we might have gotten a bit ambitious.
We are always on the lookout for good homes to bring to our house hunters (test our knowledge with an instant house valuation. According to a piece of research carried out by Currys PC World and home security firm Ring, Tower Hamlets is the most affordable London borough for those looking to buy a property, with Havering coming in second, and Croydon taking third place.
The study found that the average price for a three-bedroom home in Tower Hamlets is £550,000, and while it is by no means the cheapest borough - that accolade belongs to Barking and Dagenham - its relatively central location, the average weekly earnings of a resident, the abundance of amenities and access to transport links all, according to the study, make it a more attractive buying proposition than elsewhere in the Capital.
So, we’ve been canvassing Tower Hamlets to broker some of these fantastic properties for our customers… In fact, to one Beefeater’s surprise (and to ours as well), one of our valuation letters went to his home in the Tower of London.
To our horror, the valuation letter we sent did not go to the legal property owner, so we replied:

In a 2015 interview with Oxford Mail, he discussed moving into the Tower, “It’s great to continue serving the sovereign and it’s fantastic living in the heart of London in such a vibrant area. I’m living in a two-bedroom flat in a converted hospital block with all the other Beefeaters. It’s got a village feel. We even have our own pub, the Yeoman’s Club.”
Vibrant is right – it is an incredible area full of rich history, culture and plenty to do. We actually have an impressive penthouse available that shares the benefits of this great location. Two minutes’ walking will get you to Tower Pier for a lunch cruise.
